“Invictus” by William Ernest Henley

Out of the night that covers me,
Black as the pit from pole to pole,
I thank whatever gods may be
For my unconquerable soul.

In the fell clutch of circumstance
I have not winced nor cried aloud.
Under the bludgeonings of chance
My head is bloody, but unbowed.

Beyond this place of wrath and tears
Looms but the Horror of the shade,
And yet the menace of the years
Finds and shall find me unafraid.

It matters not how strait the gate,
How charged with punishments the scroll,
I am the master of my fate:
I am the captain of my soul.

The fox has many tricks. The hedgehog has but one. But that is the best of all.
Desiderius Erasmus

Sometimes… You’re running, running, even aren’t thinking about the direction your life is now rushing… Moreover, you almost forgot where you was, that starting point, your fulcrum, even you are sure you forgot… But then something was happened again, the message or call, or meeting, something was happened and suddenly everything comes back, memory, fear, anxiety… And surprise, surprise that you’ve thought you haven’t felt, haven’t remembered, you’ve forgotten… But time is already gone, everything changed, everything is new, but  echoes of the old happyness and of the old pain stayed there…
